Enjoy mountain living while only 5 miles from downtown Asheville! Elk Mountain Scenic Hwy is a beautiful mountain road that is a major destination for road cyclists. The road connects to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the house is only minutes from all of the north Asheville amenities - including Fresh Market and Ingles. Incredibly spacious home with 3 levels. Relax on the deck while watching the fireflies and listening to the cicadas. Wildlife sightings are frequent - including turkeys and bears!
The space
Over 2500 sq ft of space on close to an acre of land. Master bedroom/bath with king bed is located on main level and has connecting bathroom. The two bedrooms off the loft upstairs have queen beds and share a full bathroom. In the fully finished basement you will find a separate living area with wet bar, dart board, private deck with porch swing, comfy couches and TV with video games and movies. There is a king bedroom with private bath and separate entrance off this room for extra privacy. The basement has a separate AC unit to ensure comfort for everyone. We have toys and books for the little ones and a pack and play upon request.
Other things to note
Our mountain home has a tricky driveway. Accommodatig more than 3 cars can be tricky.
In winter months, Asheville has the occasional snow or ice storm. Our mountain road is normally plowed right away, or melts off quickly, but sometimes it might be later in the day. So if you don't have 4wd it is the perfect opportunity to spend the day making snowmen and sledding!
